3.05 ct Pakistani Aquamarine, Pear, Unheated

Most aquamarine sold today is heated to shift it towards pure blue. This pear has not been, and it keeps the soft blue-green that aquamarine shows naturally. The rough came from the Shigar valley in northern Pakistan, known for long, clear beryl crystals.

The tone is light, as with most unheated aquamarine, so the colour appears as a pale seafoam that looks fresh against white gold and silver. The stone is eye clean, with a few fine growth tubes visible under a loupe along the length of the pear.

At 12 × 8 mm it works well as a pendant or a drop earring, and it would suit a buyer who wants an untreated stone at a modest price. The listed sale price applies until the stone is sold.
